Northwich & District Churches Together is an opportunity for the Churches in the area to work together to demonstrate the faith they share in serving the community. To witness to the love of God, and to serve the one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, working together in his name. NDCT does not stand alone but is part of the wider body of, Churches together in Cheshire, and the parent grouping Churches together in Britain and Ireland, an organisation which seeks to draw the Christian Churches together for a common purpose to meet the needs of the 21st Century.
The Churches in their partnership sponsor a variety of events throughout the Christian year, beginning in the season of Advent with the opportunity for folk to come together to reflect in the weeks leading up to Christmas. In January, as part of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity a joint service of Worship is held with a significant Preacher, in 2017 this was the Chaplain to the Bishop of Carlisle who spoke very movingly about how the churches in Cumbria are working closely together in a very special way. In Lent, in a similar way to the weeks of Advent there are groups available for people to pray and reflect together, leading up to the significant events of Holy Week, the main event being the Walk of Witness through the town on Good Friday.
